(Promote, Reinforce, Organize, Prepare, Empower and Lead) Targets 11 – 15 year olds. The program is a community revitalization program for youth to take a leadership and active role in changing conditions in their communities
Selected students will have the opportunity to access this project on specified days, after school, during the week as an extra-program activity that is considered volunteering. It will build their portfolio for volunteer projects towards the completion of their high school and college studies. Students will meet for two hours twice a week to identify community needs, prioritize those needs, develop a strategic plan to address those needs, develop projects, implement and coordinate projects and gain recognition for their community efforts. They will develop and master the skills to make a difference in their communities. Participants in this component will meet twice a week, after school at a location designated by program staff.
